 ional federations\, dear friends\,\nWe welcome you to Abu Dhabi in the Uni
 ted Arab Emirates\, a city which has become a real mainstay on the World J
 udo Tour and now extends arms of friendship to our veteran family.\nIn Abu
  Dhabi we are promised first class hospitality amid a bustling city that b
 oasts both state-of-the-art architecture and respect for the region’s hi
 story and cultures. The sheer scale of progression and planning are indica
 tive of the way in which Abu Dhabi represents a forward thinking commitmen
 t to both evolution and tradition. This is aligned with our vision of judo
  and so returning here is natural.\nOur veteran judoka enjoyed an outstand
 ing stay in Krakow\, Poland\, in 2022 for their pinnacle event of the year
  and now move into Asia thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the local o
 rganisers. The 2023 edition of the World Championships Veterans promises t
 o celebrate the experience\, excellence and friendship which we all hold i
 n such high esteem.\nI wish all our delegations\, our friends and the wide
 r judo family a healthy and successful event\, filled with the best ippon
