  judo family\,\nOn behalf of the International Judo Federation\, I welcome
  you all to the Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam 2025\, in the modern city of A
 stana.\nIt is exciting to be returning here after a successful Paris Olymp
 iad in which this event was the final grand slam of the qualification peri
 od. With experience staging all levels of event\, including the 2015 Astan
 a World Championships\, it is logical that the perfect environment for per
 formance would be created here in Kazakhstan.\nUnder the leadership of Kaz
 akhstan Judo Federation President\, Mr Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev\, the country
  is striving to enhance all areas of judo development\, within the framewo
 rk of values we all hold dear.\nThere will certainly be a full roster of w
 orld and Olympic medallists but also the new generation of elite judoka wh
 o are gaining momentum and are beginning to show their hand ahead of the L
 A28 qualification period\, beginning a little over a year from now. This m
 eans we can guarantee both the atmosphere and the level.\nI wish all of yo
 u a safe and successful visit to Kazakhstan’s capital to be part of what
