  the home of judo. It is already a year since we last met in Japan and ant
 icipating our arrival at the Tokyo Grand Slam is\, for all of us\, like pr
 eparing to go home after a long time away.\nThe staging of the Tokyo Grand
  Slam is always a promise of the strongest Japanese team\, with the desire
  to win on home ground. This attracts our biggest and brightest stars from
  the rest of the world and creates an environment in which the most skille
 d judo thrives.\nThe organisers are among the world’s best\, always crea
 ting the best conditions for the greatest judo and all with the maximum le
 vel of respect and professionalism\, applying the core judo values at ever
 y moment. This is the correct way as we continue our preparations towards 
 Paris 2024. The Olympic Games is only months away and in Tokyo\, with 100%
  of points won counting towards qualification\, we can expect intensity\, 
 precision and a high energy competition.\nI wish all members of the judo f
 amily a successful visit to our historical home and thank you for your con
