 ternational Judo Federation\, I welcome you all to the Qazaqstan Barysy Gr
 and Slam 2024\, in the modern city of Astana.\n\nIt is exciting to be retu
 rning here after a successful first edition in 2023. With experience stagi
 ng grand prix events in the past\, as well as the 2015 Astana World Champi
 onships and a host of other events across the different age categories of 
 our family\, it is logical that the perfect environment for performance wo
 uld be created here in Kazakhstan.\n\nUnder the leadership of Kazakhstan J
 udo Federation President\, Mr Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev\, the country is striv
 ing to enhance all areas of judo development\, within the framework of val
 ues we all hold dear.\n\nThere will be a lot at stake in Astana\, position
 ed as the final grand slam before both the Abu Dhabi World Championships a
 nd the end of the Olympic qualification period. This means we can guarante
 e both the atmosphere and the level. Final preparations for the Paris Olym
 pic Games will soon be the only priority.\n\nI wish all of you a safe and
