The IJF Continental & International Referee Examination was successfully held from 15–19 August 2025 in Amman, Jordan, hosted by the Jordan Judo Federation with the support of the Judo Union of Asia (JUA). The event brought together 50 referee candidates from across Asia and beyond, underscoring the region’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of officiating in judo.

After four days of rigorous theoretical and practical assessments, a total of 31 referees achieved official qualifications:

  • 9 referees earned the prestigious IJF International qualification

  • 22 referees were awarded the IJF Continental qualification

This examination marks a significant milestone in strengthening the pool of highly qualified referees in the region. By ensuring referees meet the International Judo Federation’s strict standards, the JUA continues to support the development of fair play, professionalism, and integrity in judo competitions across Asia.
