The 2026 Asian Judo Championships officially commenced today in Ordos, China, marking the start of four days of elite continental competition from 16–19 April 2026.
Asia’s top judoka have gathered in Ordos to compete for continental honours in one of the region’s most prestigious judo events, showcasing the highest level of technical excellence, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship.
In his welcome message, Judo Union of Asia President Mr. Obaid Z. Al-Anzi expressed his appreciation to the hosts and participants: “This event embodies the true spirit of judo: friendship, discipline, and mutual respect. It is through such gatherings that we continue to elevate our sport across Asia and inspire future generations.”
President of the Chinese Judo Association Zhan Xugang also welcomed all delegations to Ordos, highlighting the significance of the Championships as a platform for sporting excellence and cultural exchange across Asia.
The Judo Union of Asia extends its sincere gratitude to the Chinese Judo Association, the Inner Mongolia Sports Administration, and the Government of Ordos City for their outstanding efforts in hosting this year’s Championships.
