The Judo Union of Asia is delighted to announce the resounding success of the 2024 Hong Kong Asian Open Judo Championships, held in Hong Kong SAR, China, on 9-10 Nov 2024. As an International Judo Federation (IJF) ranking event under the auspices of the Judo Union of Asia (JUA), the championships brought together 129 competitors from 13 nations, showcasing the best of judo talent in the region.
Throughout the competition, athletes from diverse backgrounds displayed exceptional skill and commitment, embodying the values of judo and the spirit of sportsmanship. The intense battles in each weight category captivated audiences and demonstrated the high level of competition at the Asian Open.
Standout performances were witnessed in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Athletes from Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and Australia distinguished themselves with impressive victories, showcasing the depth of talent in the Asian judo community.
