On the concluding day of the 2025 Asian Judo Championships in Bangkok, Japan maintained its stronghold in the competition, securing a total of eight individual titles. Despite not matching their earlier prolific performance, Team Japan showcased their judo excellence, finishing ahead of Uzbekistan and Korea, who each claimed two titles.

In the -90kg category, Shakhzodxuja Sharipov of Uzbekistan emerged as the new senior Asian champion, displaying great form and securing victory over his teammate Nurbek Murtozoev. The Uzbek duo’s impressive performance led to a one-two finish, with Komei Kawabata of Japan and Meiirlan Maxim of Kazakhstan securing third place.

A surprise victory came in the -100kg category, as Said Sadrudinov from Bahrain, considered an outsider, triumphed over Dzhafar Kostoev from the UAE in the final. Dzhakhongir Madzhidov from Tajikistan and Caramnob Sagaipov from Lebanon claimed the bronze medals in this category.

In the final men’s weight category, Seungyeob Lee of Korea emerged victorious by defeating Temur Rakhimov from Tajikistan. The podium was completed by Minjong Kim from Korea and Emirkhan Zholdoshkaziev from Kyrgyzstan.

The Japanese women’s team contributed to Japan’s success on the final day, with Kurena Ideka winning the -78kg category by defeating Minju Kim from Korea. Marjona Kuchimova from Uzbekistan and Hongtao Wu from China secured the third-place positions.
