The Hangzhou Asian Open 2025 is currently taking place at the Linpu Gymnasium in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, running from 4–8 September 2025. Organized by the Judo Union of Asia (JUA) with the support of the Chinese Judo Association, the event has attracted 87 athletes from 13 countries and regions
Cultural Welcome
On the eve of the competition, athletes and delegations were invited to experience “Xianghu · Elegant Rhyme,” a large-scale lakeside cultural performance in Hangzhou. The show combined natural landscapes, digital innovation, and cultural heritage, recreating memorable moments from the Hangzhou Asian Games. Athletes praised the experience for its spectacular visuals and the opportunity to engage with local traditions
Ongoing Competition
With participants from across Asia and beyond, the Hangzhou Asian Open 2025 is providing a valuable platform for athletes to gain international experience and ranking points. The event continues through 8 September, with matches scheduled across all weight categories in both men’s and women’s divisions.
The JUA acknowledges the efforts of the Chinese Judo Association and the Local Organizing Committee in delivering a successful tournament, combining world-class sport with cultural exchange in Hangzhou.
