Prior to the Macau Asian Cadet Cup 2026, the Macau International Training Camp was successfully held from 21 to 23 July, providing an outstanding opportunity for young judoka to train together and strengthen friendships across borders.
The three-day camp welcomed over 160 international athletes from 15 countries/ regions, creating an ideal environment for technical development, cultural exchange and preparation for competition.

The training camp was led by Olympic champion Yang Xiuli, who served as Head Coach throughout the programme. Drawing upon her extensive international experience, Yang shared valuable technical knowledge, tactical insights and competition experience with the participating athletes, inspiring the next generation of judoka.
Training sessions focused on randori, technical instruction and practical competition preparation, while also promoting the core values of judo—friendship, respect and mutual understanding. The camp allowed athletes from different countries and regions to learn from one another before competing at the Macau Asian Cadet Cup.
The Macau International Training Camp has become an important component of the event, supporting the long-term development of cadet judo in Asia by providing young athletes with high-quality coaching and valuable international training opportunities.
The Judo Union of Asia extends its appreciation to the Judo Association of Macau, China, Head Coach Yang Xiuli, all participating coaches and athletes for making the training camp another successful initiative in the development of Asian judo.
