As the curtain fell on the Paris Grand Slam, an important announcement for the future of international judo was made. The International Judo Federation (IJF), represented by President Mr. Marius Vizer, and the Mongolian Judo Association, led by its President H.E. Battulga Khaltmaa, formally signed an agreement confirming the organisation of four additional IJF Grand Slam events in Ulaanbaatar in the coming years.
This renewal further strengthens Mongolia’s prominent role within the global judo family. A proud and active member of the Judo Union of Asia, Mongolia has consistently demonstrated excellence both on and off the tatami. The country is widely recognised not only as a nation of champions, but also as an exceptional host capable of delivering world-class events that meet the highest international standards.
Each edition of the Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam has showcased outstanding sporting performance, enthusiastic support from knowledgeable fans, and exemplary organisation. The continuation of this partnership reflects the strong confidence placed in Mongolia by the international judo community.
