The Hong Kong Asian Open 2025 concluded successfully today after two days of competition at the Judo Association of Hong Kong’s venue in Kowloon, attracting 154 competitors from 18 nations across Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Pan America. The event, held on 22–23 November 2025, was organized by the Judo Union of Asia (JUA) in cooperation with the Judo Association of Hong Kong, China.
Korea Leads Medal Table
The Republic of Korea dominated the competition, finishing at the top of the medal table with 8 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze medals, followed by Australia (2 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) and a tie for third between India and Mongolia, each earning 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.
Other nations making the podium included the United States, Germany, Great Britain, New Zealand, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Argentina, Bulgaria, and Sweden. In total, athletes from 13 countries claimed medals across 14 weight categories.

The Hong Kong Asian Open featured high-quality judo and strong international participation, with a notable 61.7% of competitors in the men’s division and 38.3% in the women’s division.
