The Aktau Asian Open 2023, held in memory of Turar Zholdybayev, attracted 217 athletes from three continents, representing Armenia, Azerbaijan, Gabon, Hong Kong – China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, People’s Republic of China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Individual Neutral Athletes.


Over the course of two intense days, the athletes displayed their exceptional technique and sportsmanship. The host country, Kazakhstan, emerged as the dominant force, securing an impressive total of seven gold medals. China followed closely behind with five gold medals in the women’s category, while Azerbaijan clinched one gold medal.
